Saxony has the potential to take on a pioneering role. Our history shows that Saxony has always been a place that dares to try new things - from the first steam train to Silicon Saxony. We have what it takes to shape change - cultural strength, a spirit of innovation and people who want to move things forward.
In my political work, I was able to initiate important projects for Dresden: 2.4 million euros for the bicycle parking garage at Neustadt train station, 6 million for the Technical Collections - investments that make our beautiful state capital a better place to live. Such progress motivates me to keep going. Saxony has the potential to take on a pioneering role. Our history shows that Saxony has always been a place that dares to try new things - from the first steam train to Silicon Saxony. Today we are the heart of the European semiconductor industry, developing technologies that are needed around the world and creating jobs that make us less dependent on autocratic states. But we are also leaders in the skilled trades. But we must make use of diverse potential. And yes: I am proud that good rap also comes from Saxony. We have what it takes to shape change - cultural strength, a spirit of innovation and people who want to move things forward. What we need is a togetherness that sees diversity as a strength and excludes no one.
